It appears the drama in Rivers State politics is far from nearing it's end.
Today, while all of us were in church praying for a peaceful general elections barely 6 days away, calm and collected Engr Tele Ikuru officially defected to the PDP leaving out his boss, Gov Rotimi Amaechi (whom he had hitherto been following around the state for campaigns) in the cold.
Recall that Engr Ikuru was originally the deputy to former Gov Celestine Omehia before the historical supreme court judgment that ousted Omehia for Chibuike Amaechi.
Some people say he saw the 'handwriting' on the wall. If this development is anything to go by, Rivers may as well not be a state to watch in these elections as it appears to be a settled case for the PDP.
It however remains to be seen where the pendulum swings for Rivers Politics.
